Annual Members
Scientists or any legume worker engaged and interested in teaching/research/extension in any discipline related to food legumes including some other underutilized legumes shall be admitted as members after they pay the prescribed fee. They shall be entitled to receive the Journal of the Society free of charge in the calendar year during which membership has been paid and will have the right to vote for an office bearer of the Society if election is held in that calendar year. Members seeking admission to the Society are required to apply in the prescribed form. If any annual member does not renew his membership, he automatically loses membership and other privileges of the society. However, such members can revive membership by paying membership fee charges.
Life Members
Scientists or any legume worker on payment of the prescribed fee can apply for life membership of the society. The life members shall enjoy all the privileges of the members.
Institutional Members
Institutions or research organizations in India/abroad on payment of prescribed fee will be entitled to receive the Journal of the Society free of charge, but wil not enjoy voting rights or rights to hold office of the Society. The same rule applies to private and corporate members. Their membership is renewed each year.
Discontinuance/Expulsion of Members
Annual members who do not pay their annual membership by 31st December will cease to be the members for the Society. They will have to re-apply for the membership.
Any member indulging all anti-society activities can be expelled by the executive council.

Any person interested in pulses research and development is eligible for membership of the Society by becoming ordinary, life or corporate member by paying respective membership fee as detailed below:

Renewal of annual membership should be done in January each year. If the subscription is not received by February 15, the membership would stand cancelled.
